Manager's Coffees

Coffee2.jpgCranberry’s popular Community Coffee series includes plenty of hot java and informal conversation with Cranberry Township Manager Jerry Andree. This casual series of community-based conversations, held monthly at different sites throughout the Township, provides local residents with an opportunity to hear first-hand what Cranberry’s municipal government is thinking about doing, what it’s working on now, what it has recently completed, and to pose their own questions to the Manager.

There is no charge to attend and reservations are not required, although RSVPs for planning purposes to 724-776-4806, x 1089 are appreciated.

2020 Coffee Schedule

Manager’s Coffee, Thursday, February 20, "What Are They Building?" 6:30 PM. Council Chambers, 2525 Rochester Road

Ever wonder why there are so many banks in Cranberry Township? Are you disappointed when an auto parts store takes over a new building instead of your favorite fast food chain?

The decision to open a new location in the Township ultimately relies on a businesses’ leaders, with the Township laying out the steps needed to make that concept a reality.

That’s the focus of the February edition of the Township Manager’s Coffee and Conversation, titled “What Are They Building?”

Scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center, members of the Township’s Planning and Development Services Department will explain the process for new development - from the initial proposal all the way through the grand opening.

They’ll also look at some of the major projects being constructed and give insight into some of the stores and restaurants that could be coming – and those that haven’t shown interest despite public demand.

2020 Coffees

  • January 21, "Snow and Tell." 6:30 PM A blanket of white snow may look like a winter wonderland to some, but it can make anxious drivers see red. That’s why Cranberry’s Public Works crews are always ready for a snowstorm or other weather-related event, tending to 132 miles of Township roads. How those crews maintain those roads – and which roads are not under their care – was the topic of this coffee event.
